Paul has worked as a Loss Assessor for over 35 years, supporting homeowners and businesses navigate all types of property insurance claims. Having lived in Lancashire all his life, Paul has a deep understanding of the local area and is well known within the region.
Through decades of working locally, Paul has built trusted relationships with reliable contractors, surveyors, restoration companies, and suppliers across Lancashire. This means clients benefit from experienced, dependable professionals who understand the area and can be relied upon when it matters most.
Paul believes that dealing with an insurance claim should never feel overwhelming or impersonal. He takes a hands-on, personal approach, offering clear advice, empathy, and practical support throughout the claim. By staying in close contact and truly listening, Paul helps ease the stress during what can often be a very challenging time, and he works tirelessly to secure the best possible outcome for every client.
Richard Lund - Cert CII
Director (Lund & Williams)
Richard has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He joined Lund & Williams as a Director in 2012, which is part of the same company group as Cherry & Griffiths.
He brings a wealth of diverse experience, having previously worked as a loss adjuster for Robins and the RBS Insurance Group, as well as a loss assessor. Prior to his career in insurance, Richard served as a police officer.
Richard handles all types of claims, specialising in commercial material damage and business interruption claims. He enjoys the challenge that these complex cases bring, and much of his work comes through recommendations from his extensive broker connections.
Outside of work, Richard is kept busy as the father of five children. He is a keen runner, particularly enjoying fell running, and is a committee member of his local running club.
Geoff Williams - ACII FCILA FUEDI-ELAE
Consultant – Loss Assessor/Loss Adjuster
Geoff was one of the founder directors of CGHW. He has been in the insurance industry since 1968, working for nine years at an insurance company and since then as a loss assessor and loss adjuster acting for both individuals and insurance companies, as well as being an examiner for CILA. He specialises in Commercial and Business Interruption claims.
Geoff is something of a workaholic but when he takes a break he likes to visit his apartment in Spain, fell walking and follows football. Geoff has two sons and at last count four grandchildren and a grand-dog who are a big part of this life.
Samantha Kay
Office Manager
Samantha is our newest recruit joining us at the beginning of 2024.
With 17 years of experience as a Commercial Property Consultant in the banking sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. She is the friendly face behind the scenes who keeps everything running smoothly, making sure the team stays organised, supported, and on track.
When she’s not busy managing the office, Samantha loves spending time with her husband, three children and their fur baby Wilson. She loves to travel, always has a good book on the go, and is a gym enthusiast who enjoys long walks with her family.
Katherine Holme - LLB DEUF PGDip
Legal Consultant
Katherine works as a solicitor within dispute resolution, specialising in contractual, partnership and property disputes and professional indemnity claims. Her experience and extensive legal knowledge bring another skill set to the team.
Katherine is busy with her young family, but any spare time is spent reading, exercising and socialising with family and friends.
